In this Level 3 quest, players help the Ice Queen recreate nostalgic dishes from Arendelle to awaken lost memories. Completing this journey requires gathering rare culinary ingredients, fishing in specific weather conditions, and uncovering hidden items buried across the Valley.
Unlocking the Quest and Preparing Dandelion Syrup
To begin this quest, you must reach Friendship Level 3 with Elsa, unlock the Glade of Trust, and complete Remy's restaurant storyline. Elsa initiates the adventure by asking for your help in preparing a special Dandelion Syrup recipe. This initial step requires collecting one Lemon, five Dandelions, three Garlic, two Onions, and one Empty Vial.
Lemons are harvested from trees in the Forest of Valor or Glade of Trust, while Dandelions grow naturally in the Plaza. Onions can be purchased directly from Goofy's Stall in the Forest of Valor, and Garlic grows wildly in the same biome. To craft the Empty Vial, combine three pieces of Glass at a crafting bench using Sand and Coal Ore mined around Dazzle Beach.
Catching the Glittering Herring and Cooking
Once you hand the syrup ingredients to Elsa, she will ask you to prepare two distinct meals inspired by her homeland. The key ingredient for the Fish Pie is a rare Glittering Herring, which only spawns in the Glade of Trust while it is actively raining. Cast your line into golden or orange bubbling spots during rainstorms to catch this unique fish.
After securing the Glittering Herring, combine it at a cooking station with Wheat, Butter, and the prepared Dandelion Syrup to bake the Arendellian Fish Pie. Next, cook a standard Arendellian Pickled Herring using a regular Herring, Lemon, Onion, Garlic, and any available spice like Basil or Oregano. Having both dishes prepared and in your inventory allows you to proceed to the next story phase.
Uncovering Elsa Secret Chest and Rewards
Delivering both completed dishes to Elsa triggers a sudden memory regarding a buried treasure chest. Head over to the Ice Cavern entrance in the Forest of Valor and look for glowing, sparkling ground near the large ice formations. Use your Royal Shovel to dig up Elsa's Secret Chest, which contains the Arendellian Extra-Pickled Herring and a mysterious Purple Crest.
Speak with Elsa to give her the extra-pickled dish, after which she will reward you with a jar of Arendellian Pickled Herring. Finally, step inside the Ice Cavern and place the Purple Crest onto the wall's puzzle pedestal. Returning to Elsa after mounting the crest officially completes the quest and unlocks the next chapter in her storyline.
